Keine Sozialwohnungen bei Neubauprojekt im Kirchsteigfeld
Im neuen Wohnquartier im Kirchsteigfeld wird es jetzt doch keine Sozialwohnungen geben.
Da die Wohnungen von einem privaten Bauherren gebaut werden, könne man aus dem Rathaus keinen direkten Einfluss auf das Bauvorhaben ausüben.
Dabei hatte die zuständige Baufirma Semmelhaack noch 2020 angekündigt, dass rund ein Drittel der 160 Wohnungen sozial-gebunden sein sollen.
Allerdings sei durch die hohen Erschließungs-Vorgaben der Stadt kein Geld mehr für sozialen Wohnungsbau übrig, so Semmelhaack.
Laut Schätzungen des Rathauses bräuchte die Stadt Potsdam eigentlich bis zu 1800 sozial-gebundene Wohnungen pro Jahr.
